Creating Decorative and Functional Designs in Fused Glass
About My Work
I start with sheets of handcrafted glass of various colors
and textures,
which are cut and then stacked in a kiln. The glass is heated until the
individual pieces fuse into one. The fused glass is then slowly reheated
into
one or more molds to create items durable enough for everyday use. Each
piece spends 24-36 hours in the kiln.
Variations in color and surface texture are a product of the process…
hand-crafted - from raw materials to finished piece.
